Need to turn something OFF, at the same instant that a haunt timer activates a prop or lighting, and vice-versa? For instance, you may want mudane background lighting and/or sound to suddenly change color or transfer to strobe light/s and a scream, as an air operated prop is activated. The action of turning something OFF when something else turns ON, is called "flip-flop".  It is now easily obtained with our Flip-Flop (FF) control box.

Here's how it works:  first take a look at the enlarged view of the photo at left. The FF box is plugged into a wall socket, and the haunt timer is plugged into the FF "feed through" socket.  The white power cord of the FF is plugged into the timer's control socket (using a multi-outlet plug,  more than one device can be plugged into timer's single socket).

Now any device plugged into the "switched socket" of the FF will normally be ON until the timer's socket is energized, at which instant it will be turned OFF.

Another use for the FF box is for the "Pepper's Ghost" effect. This is where lighting on each side of a pane of glass or plastic sheet must be controlled in a flip-flop manner.        In the haunt application of this effect no light dimming is necessary, in a lot of these applications patron's will move past the effect without noticing, unless the transformation happens quickly.

The FF  works with our haunt timers, including of course the Flex ECTCombo Flex ECTand/or RCT .

For convenience, the "feed through" socket on the FF supplies the necessary A.C. power to the timer and prop/s plugged into it.   The maximum A.C. that can be switched by either the FF box or our timers is 10 amps. However, BOTH timer and Flip/Flop circuits, when energized,  can draw up to 10 amps because only one is energized at a time.
